2006 ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE AT THE SUSSEX A&P |

The gang starts out at Lou's cleaners (Betty Brite) with coffee and goodies, and then we are off to stand in front of the Sussex A&P collecting food for the local food bank to help those in need. We collect many full baskets each year and donate them. It's a good feeling to help those in need. We display our cars that day for those people who are shopping and donating to the cause. We also have a DJ on hand to entertain everyone. Once we have collected all the food, it's loaded onto trucks and delivered to the local food pantry. They will distribute it to those in need. The photo below shows you the number of baskets we collect which are always filled to the top. In addition, many people donate their extra turkeys. |
